Rebecca McWilliams is a pianist, children's musician and music educator, certified by the state of Georgia. She currently serves as accompanist for Pandora Women's Chorus, soprano in Just Voices chamber choir, and enjoys frequent opportunities to sing and play at school concerts, churches, and musical theater productions.

 

Previously, Rebecca taught music at The Ormewood School and there discovered her passion for children and children's music. She now heads children's music group Marshmallow Avenue, who play an exciting variety of original songs and familiar favorites in an interactive show full of engaging characters, props, and games. Rebecca's main passion is sharing her love of music through teaching all ages in private piano lessons, group lessons, and general music classes. She received the Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Georgia State University where she studied under Brandt Fredriksen, was the recipient of the Haskell and Mabel Boyter Choral Scholarship, and performed in chamber ensembles. Rebecca was hailed as a "strong, agile player" by ArtsCriticATL.com in October 2010. Rebecca is constantly honing her art of teaching through ongoing research, her membership in Music Teachers National Association, National Association for Music Education, and attendance at professional conferences.
